Our client is a premier primary healthcare solutions provider in Asia. They provide clients with a wide range of healthcare services, from general Fee-For-Service consultations to specialized industrial healthcare consultancies. They are seeking a senior dynamic and highly-driven assistant manager in Material Management who oversee the smooth daily operations of the Materials Management Department, which includes managing all purchase requisitions, purchase orders, delivery orders and invoices


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage key suppliers to achieve delivery performance and negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimum cost effectiveness
  • Responsible for sourcing new suppliers from local and overseas, for better price, quality and payment terms
  • Perform comparison and review on quotations, quality of goods, specifications and terms and conditions
  • Oversee project demands and responsible for the inventory management to ensure that there is adequate and appropriate amount of stock levels for all items in the store
  • Develop, implement and maintain Procurement policies and procedures and to ensure compliance with day-to-day operations and other regulatory requirements
  • Conduct inventory audit where appropriate. Report discrepancies and follow-up actions with suppliers
  • To identify, feedback and solve any discrepancies relating to purchasing and issuance
  • Work closely with cross functional teams and act as a liaison between departments and suppliers, to deliver procurement needs and support that is required to run the operations efficiently
  • Responsible for annual stock take for the warehouse, clinics and other facilities where necessary
  • Work on projects to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Any ad-hoc assignments as assigned



  • Possessed a good degree or diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience in managerial position
  • Candidates with relevant experience in the healthcare industry, handling inventory management and procurement of drugs and non-drugs related items is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to manage relationships with strategic suppliers, user departments and senior management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage
